Communion is celebrated the 1st and 3rd Sundays. Food ministry is very important for Trinity. The Laporte Community Food Shelf is located at Trinity. It is open 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays; closed the 5th Tuesday of each month. Trinity is also the host congregation for Ruby's Pop Up Pantry - Laporte held the 4th Wednesday of the month. During the year at 9:00 am on every Monday and Thursday you are welcome to join other community members taking part in SAIL. During the summer months two additional programs are available including Yoga on Tuesdays at 9:45 am and Silver Sneakers on Tuesdays at 8:00 am and Wednesdays at 9:00 am. The men meet on the first Saturday of each month at 8:00 am. Topics of discussion are whatever may be of interest to the men attending. The women host a monthly Bible Study on the second Tuesday of the months September through May. The group meets at 2:00 pm and they encourage all women to join them. Watch for the annual Spring Luncheon held the end of April or first part of May. A delicious salad luncheon, served by the men, is always enjoyed by the community women along with an interesting and enjoyable program each year. The 1st Wednesday in August Is the Annual Chicken Dinner sponsored by the Trinity Lutheran Church Women. From 5:00- 7:00 p.m. come enjoy a home cooked chicken dinner. Take-out meals are also available. Cost is a freewill offering with proceeds supporting local and worldwide organizations. Good food, fun, and fellowship for all ages.
