My name is Dion Pederson and I’m a candidate for Hubbard County Sheriff. I’ve been a Hubbard County resident since 1999. I’ve been married to my wife Suzann for over 29 years. She is in her 29th year of serving the citizens of the State of Minnesota as a State Patrol Trooper and is the Sergeant in the Park Rapids/Walker patrol station. We have three children that have attended the Park Rapids School District and have participated in several sports teams and school events. Nicole (24), Alex (22), and Nolan (17). Our family is pictured below. Suzann and I vacationed in the area prior to moving here 19 years ago. We call Park Rapids home and have established ourselves in the community. I have been a coach and mentor to the youth in the community. I coached boys and girls youth hockey for 15 years. I was an assistant girls high school hockey coach for three years and I also made time to coach youth baseball for five years. I was also on the Lakes Area Dive Team, serving Cass and Hubbard counties for several years.
