PARK RAPIDS COMMUNITY 38 THANK MEAL ANNUAL THANKSGIVING DAY - NOVEMBER 26TH WHAT WE ARE DOING DIFFERENTLY THIS YEAR.... There will not be meals served to anyone on-site due to the pandemic involving Covid 19. No dining at the Church this year. This year our focus will be on service that will be kindly extended to those who are in need in the area. Some of the needs include: Inability to afford to buy your own food or inability to cook your own food or inability to come to the church to pick up the food (requiring the delivery) or you are all alone and you would like to have a nice meal like this but would not go to the trouble of cooking all the food for just yourself. Since people will not be dining at the church, people will be able to order meals to either be picked up "curbside" (by themselves or a friend/neighbor/family mem- ber) or they can ask for meals to be delivered to their home - in situations where there is need. Because the main source of income that helps to cover the expenses for the Thank Meal usually comes from those eating on-site, there will be a need for additional donations to help pay for the ingredients and supplies. Donations are appreciated and can be sent to RUMC PO Box 128, Park Rapids MN 56470. All funds received in excess of the meal costs will support local charities.
