I am a Reagan Conservative that believes in honesty, transparency, and responsibility in government. I am the only candidate in the primary not seeking or taking donations. Money corrupts politics and politicians. I am also the only candidate in District 5 who has lived here their whole life, so I can relate to the struggles, successes, failures of my constituents. We need common sense representation and legislation. Real conservatisim requires principle and prudence-that is, between living up to one's ideology, and living in a democratic community in which all acknowledge the necessity of compromise.
My wife, Roxlee, and I are life long residents of the Backus/Pine River area, as well as our 3 adult children. I have 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The culture of rural life is unique and pristine. And if we don't elect leaders who value our way of life...soon it will be gone forever. If good men don't step up, what legacy will we pass to our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren? I entered the race, because our area needs a voice that relate on all aspects of their life. We need leadership not afraid to stand up to bullies and tyrants. We need leadership that knows that sacrifice and compromise is necessary to revive our economy preserve our way of life.
Been farming or working on other farms since I was 7. I've now been in the trucking business for the last 31 years as well as farming ...supporting many of the workers in this area by hauling the fruits of their labor. Whether it was French Fries from RDO/Lamb Weston, Food from ConAgra, Rolls of Paper out of Potlach, Reflective materials out of 3M, Printed material from Bang Printing, to SeaFood out of Seafest, Beef out of Long Prairie Packing.....to loads hauled into Walmart, Fleet Farm, Menards, Home Depot, Dans Prize, A-Tech, Coke, Pepsi and more... I've hauled millions of tons of products to and from our area.
As a Pastor I have been an out reach evangelist to the homeless for over 20 years.
I am a Conservative activist and advocate for the ACLJ, Liberty Counsel, and the Rutherford Institute.
I support Ducks unlimited, the MN Deer Hunters Association.

In the past I have been the delegate to 8th Congressional District and State delegate for the MnGop
